The Beauty of "Mission Accomplished"

"Discipline is the bridge between goals and accomplishment."
- Jim Rohn
Making "The Magic" Happen
I know that anyone who is reading this is probably very familiar with the slogans "Impossible Is Nothing" by Adidas or "Just Do It" by Nike. Statements like these speak of a "making it happen" mentality that has become a driving force in accomplishments of all shapes and sizes.
It seems that Ive come to a stage in my life where I really crave getting things done. This applies both to my personal as well as my work life. I don't know why, but I think that Im getting addicted to that thrill of "I did it", and better yet "WE did it".
Just recently I have taken on a part time position at the school I attend (IADT Detroit) and walked into a tornado. No not literally, but things were pretty much a mess. I was assigned to work in the Equipment Checkout Room, an infinite jungle of wires, cables and shelves, where students come by to check out cameras, camcorders, and audio recording devices.
Mission Accomplished
Needless to say, the situation is not a tornado any longer. I was able to come in and sort of re-energize the team to make changes that would benefit the workflow. Together, we have been able to began a turn around that will make things more efficient for all of us.
When I was personally thanked by my boss for helping things to turn around, it was confirmation that I was in the right direction that makes for yet another "Accomplished Mission".
