My good friend Dave Utley was approached by a local entrepreneur by the name of Kirk Schlappi who was interested in promoting his innovative product, The Hockey Sled.
The Hockey Sled is an on-ice resistance training device, first used by Kirk himself (who happens to be a hockey player and coach) to help build the necessary muscles needed to get better performance results for his team during games.

The concept was the first of its kind and unlike any other resistance training device out there... but Kirk needed to get the word out.  He needed a website.  That's where my good buddy Dave Utley came in, and guess who he asked to be his wing-man... your's truly.
It was up to me to help refine the logo as well as come up with the look and feel of the site.  It involved assisting in the development of the story-boards for the opening animation as well as some of the cool roll-over effects that you will see for the main navigation buttons.
I also had the privilage of taking some "on ice" photos of the device in use... which was a very interesting experience being that I never been inside a hockey rink before.  Hey, I live in Hockeytown U.S.A., it was bound to happen sooner or later, right?
Here is a video of Kirk in his element:
